Pauline Lydia Jung, 91, formerly of Charles City, Iowa, died Wednesday morning, April 3, 2002, in Guardian Angel Care Center, Elk River, Minn.

Funeral services are planned for 10:30 Saturday, April 6, 2002, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Charles City. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St. Charles City. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.

ELK RIVER, Minn. - Pauline Lydia Jung, 91, formerly of Charles City, died Wednesday morning (April 3, 2002) in Guardian Angel Care Center, Elk River, Minn.

Her funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., Charles City, with the Rev. Solomon Odoom of Grace United Methodist Church in Floyd officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel and will resume one hour before services Saturday.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Guardian Angels Care Center, 400 Evans Avenue, Elk River, MN 55330.

Pauline was born on April 9, 1910, in rural Charles City, one of nine children born to Louis and Pauline "Benz" Hobert. She was a 1927 graduate of Charles City High School and attended the Iowa State Teacher's College. She later graduated from Upper Iowa University in Fayette in 1963.

She was united in marriage to Roscoe Waidelich at the Little Brown Church in Nashua on Aug. 8, 1934. To this union were born five children.

Pauline lived in Postville from 1963 to 1974, where she taught school. She also taught country school in Floyd and Chickasaw counties.

She was a member of the National Education Association and the Iowa State Education Association. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, crossword puzzles and trivia.

Those thankful in sharing Pauline's life include her five children, Lorraine and her husband, Lynn Bauman, Schaumburg, Ill., Marilyn and her husband, Paul Anderson, Plymouth, Minn., Darrell Waidelich, Minneapolis, Gordon and his wife, Sandra Waidelich, Otsego, Minn., and Jeanne Riley, Highland Village, Texas; 13 grandchildren, Jim Bauman, Linda Rosenzweig, Beth Bauman, Brad Anderson, Mark Anderson, Kristin Camarote, Michael Waidelich, Patricia Harbieh, Kimberly O'Rear, Kristina Howard, Shawn Riley, Julie Fernandez and Brian Riley; and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband , Roscoe, on May 27, 1956 at Independence; four sisters, Edna Hobert, Lillian Docekal, Evaline Heit and Mabel Jugenheimer; four brothers, Evans, Donald, Walter and Wesley Hobert; and one great-granddaughter.
