Mrs. Irving Niemann

CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church, for Mrs. Irving Niemann, 60, a life-long resident of Charles City. She died Sunday at the Cedar Valley Hospital.

Friends may call at the Grossman-Hage Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon until 10:30 a.m. Thursday then at the church until service time. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Leona K. Niemann was born in Charles City, on February 12, 1904, the daughter of John A. and Ida Hoeft Youngerman. On October 8, 1927, she was married to Irving L. Niemann in St. John Lutheran Church.

She was a life-long member of St. John Lutheran Church, had been Cradle Roll chairman 15 years, was past president of Luther League, Tabitha Circle and Mission Circle, was chairman of the American Lutheran Church Women during its organization at the church. She was a past president of the Charles City Woman's Club, having served as president of the Woman's Cemetery Association at the time of her death and was a member of the Pythian Sisters and Hospital Auxilary.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Larry W. Niemann, Denver, Iowa; Dr. Robert J. Niemann, Denver Colorado; two grandchildren, and three sisters, Miss Gladys Youngerman, Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Henry (Erma) Moldenhauer, North Hollywood, California; and Mrs. Dale (Bernice) McGregor, Buena Park, California.
