CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Vera E. Darrow, 93, of #16 S. Cedar Terrace, died Tuesday (Nov. 3, 1998) at the Salsbury Baptist Home, Charles City.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Milwaukee and Hulin Streets, with the Rev. J. Larry Vallery, senior pastor, officiating.

Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Friday at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt Street, with the family greeting friends from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be further visitation one hour prior to services at the church.

Other arrangements are incomplete at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., Charles City.

Vera Elizabeth Darrow was born April 16, 1905, on her grandfather Synder's farm in rural Marshall County.

Survivors include six children, Gladys Winters, of Charles City; Dean Darrow, of Charles City; Keith Darrow, of Waterloo; Paul Darrow, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Carol Blanchard, of Charles City; and Judy Bluhm, of Charles City; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, stepmother, one son, one daughter, one brother, three sisters, one grandson and two great-grandsons.

Those considering an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to the family.
