CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Helena M. "Helen" Lang, 89, of Charles City, died Sunday (Nov. 1, 1998) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Milwaukee and Hulin Streets, Charles City, with the Rev. J. Larry Vallery, senior pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., Charles City. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

Helena Millie Harms Lang was born April 19, 1909, near Philip, South Dakota.

Survivors include three children, Charles Lang, of Mason City; Peggy Joyce Ballantyne, of Las Vegas, Nev.; and Diann Rivers, of Fredericksburg; a brother, Clarence Harms, of Farragut, Iowa; three sisters, Anna Maher, of Shenandoah; Linora Brown, of Grand Island, Neb.; and Doris Odom, of San Pablo, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandaughter, six brothers, and one sister.
