CHARLES CITY, IOWA — H. Allen Carr, 70, of 2233 Packard Ave., died Monday (Nov. 2, 1998) at the North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Main and Gilbert Streets, with the Rev. Dennis D. Niezwaag, senior pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, with military honors conducted by the Charles City Ceremonial Unit.

Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. today at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., Charles City. There will be further visitation one hour prior to services at the church.

H. Allen Carr was born March 3, 1928, in Carrville.

Survivors include his wife, Irene, of Charles City; three children, Robert Allen Carr, of Birmingham, Ala.; Ann Marie Thomas, of Coffeyville, Kan.; and Ronda Brogan, of Spring Valley, Minn.; three brothers, Kenneth Carr, of Floyd; Keith Carr, of Marion; and Marvin Carr, of Charles City; one sister, Alice Larson, of Callender; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, one son, and one brother.
