CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Agnes Smith, 84, died Friday (Nov. 6, 1998) at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hauser Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis D. Niezwaag of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Agnes Marie Christiansen Smith was born Nov. 28, 1913, at Kimballton.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Roths of Charles City; two sons, Gerald Smith of De Forest, Wis., and Kent Smith of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Leona Brehmer of Ft. Dodge, and Jorgina Anderson of Atlantic; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a great-grandson, and three brothers.
