CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Mary G. Schoenfeldt, 75, of 2326 Timber Ave., died Friday, January 23, 1998, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, U.S. Highway 18 and Clark St., with Monsignor Stanley J. Hayek officiating, assisted by the Rev. Dennis D. Niezwaag, St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Roseville, near Marble Rock.

Friends may call from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St. St. Joseph’s Circle will recite the rosary at 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon and there will be a parish vigil scriptural wake service at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Schoenfeldt, the former Mary Gertrude Nixt, was born on February 17, 1924, in Marble Rock, Floyd county, Iowa.

Survivors include her husband, Harold, Charles City; five children, Angela Tovar and her husband, Ronald, Buckner, Missouri, Wayne Schoenfeldt and his wife, Connie, and Chuck Schoenfeldt and his friend, Jeanette Reinhardt, Charles City, Nicolletta Kloster and her husband, James, New Hampton, and Anita Hoffman and her husband, Thomas, Rockford, Illinois; two brothers, Paul Nixt, Charles City, and Andrew Nixt and his wife, Marcie, Greene; 14 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, a brother, a sister, and a granddaughter.
