Myrtle McMillen, age 88, of Charles City, Floyd county, Iowa, died Thursday, January 25, 2007, at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

Private graveside services will be held at Sunnyside Memory Gardens.

Myrtle Marie McMillen was born September 3, 1918 at Charles City, the daughter of John and Julettie (Corghron) Martin. She received her education at Charles City.

Myrtle was married several times. Over the years she worked as a care giver in the public health area. Her interests included bowling, gambling, needlework and putting jigsaw puzzles together. Myrtle always enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Living family members include two daughters, Darlene Roeder of Charles City and Betty Lou Orric of Nashua; seven grandchildren including Randy (Kelly) Abbott of Charles City; several great grandchildren; a great great grandson; a sister-in-law, Elsie Martin of Charles City; and a brother-in-law, Alfred Clauson of Cogdon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; seven brothers and three sisters.
