Paulette Mary Wright was born October 16, 1948, at Charles City, Floyd county, Iowa, the daughter of Forest and Dorothy (Nehls) Wright. She graduated from the Charles City High School in 1967. Paulette was raised in the Catholic faith. Paulette was an avid reader, thoroughly enjoyed home interior decorating, doing crafts, and flower gardening. Her main focus, however, was her family. She always looked forward to spending time with them.

Living family members include her husband, Gary Doty of Omaha, Nebraska; three children, Todd (Heidi) Wright Amberson and Aaron Jason Doty and his fiancée Amanda Miller all of Omaha, and Sarah Debban Laue and her fiancee Kurt Larson both of Cresco; three grandchildren, Tristin and Braden Laue and Logan Amberson; a sister, Patricia Wright Winterink of Charles City; three nephews, Alan (Joyce) Scholle of Cedar Falls and Mike (Jeanne) Kapler and Ted Kapler both of Waterloo, Iowa; and an uncle, Clair Nehls of Charles City.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
