Edward Jacobson, 67, of Charles City, died Sunday, November 12, 2006, at his home.

Edward Lanny Jacobson was born June 13, 1939, at Charles City, the son of Leonard and Francis (Reisner) Jacobson. He received his education at Charles City.

On September 19, 1959 he was united in marriage to Darlys DeVries at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Edward worked for 35 years in the foundry at White Farm Equipment Company.

He liked to collect antiques and would call himself a “junker”. Sunday afternoons would find him watching his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers. Edward’s greatest joy, however, was his grandchildren and he always looked forward to being part of their lives.

Living family members include four children, Jody Jacobson of Charles City, Kevin Jacobson, Terri Santee, and Randy (Andrea) Jacobson all of Mason City; six grandchildren, Michael, Gerrot, Lucas, Keith, Corey and Alex Jacobson; a brother, Lyle (Edna) Jacobson; and a sister, Doris Kneisel of Charles City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife on December 7, 1993; a son-in-law, Eric Santee; and several sisters.
