Patricia R. Rissler, 70, of Laughlin, Nevada, and of Charles City, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at the Western Arizona Regional Medical Center in Bullhead, Arizona.

Monsignor Stanley J. Hayek will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Charles City.

Patricia Rose Theis Rissler was born August 15, 1937, at Iowa City, the daughter of Lawrence and Florence (McGowan) Theis. She attended Immaculate Conception School in Charles City until her senior year and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in Des Moines.

On June 8, 1957, she was united in marriage to James Rissler at St. John’s Catholic Church in Des Moines. Pat was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City, President of the Pastoral Council at the Immaculate Conception Parish, St. Anthony Circle, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Laughlin, Nevada, and Group Support Leader of the Scleroderma Foundation Nevada Chapter. The things she enjoyed most were spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends, and working with the Scleroderma Foundation for the last six years.

Living family members include her husband, Jim Rissler of Laughlin, Nev. and Charles City; three daughters, Chris (Greg) Brunsman of Fair Oaks Ranch, Tex., Susan (Greg) Altheide of Grapevine, Tex. and Teresa Rissler of Des Moines; six grandchildren, Zac Brunsman, Jenna Brunsman, Stephanie Brunsman, Aubrie Altheide, Haylie Altheide and Sydney Rissler; two sisters, Betty Staudt of Marble Rock and Kathy (Don) Blocker of New Hampton; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ginger Lorenzen; and one brother, Jerry Theis.
