CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Freda Pegors, 99, of Charles City, died Friday (Aug. 26, 2005) at the Salsbury Baptist Home.

Graveside services for Freda Pegors will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sunnyside Memory Gardens, Charles City, with the Rev. Paul Wilcox, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, Charles City, officiating.

Freda P. Wilkie was born March 8, 1906, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Louis P. and Sena (Hoseman) Wilkie. She was raised in the area and attended Country School.

She was united in marriage to Claude Pegors in 1931 at the Steel County Fair, Owatonna, Minnesota. Freda spent most of her life in the Charles City area and was a mother and housewife; also babysitting in people’s homes.

Living relatives include one sister, Edna Boettcher, Estherville, and two brothers, Ralph (Berniece) Wilkie, Owatonna, Minnesota; and Delmar (Adeline) Wilkie, New York; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Paul and Clifford Pegors; two brothers, and three sisters.
