Jerry Philip Parcher was born December 25, 1945, in Floyd County, the son of Philip and Fern (Blum) Parcher. He received his education from the Rockford High School.

On August 24, 1963, he was united in marriage to Kay Houser at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Roseville. Jerry worked at Oliver/White Farm Equipment Corporation and was currently employed at SeaBee Foundry in Hampton. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Roseville.

Jerry’s hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping, and raising registered paint and quarter horses.

Living family members include his wife, Kay of Marble Rock; four children, Tim (Amy) Parcher of Charles City, Elizabeth (Marvin) Enabnit of Marble Rock, Amanda (Joe) Hornyak of Manly, and Jason (Karen) Parcher of Rudd; six grandchildren, Dustin, Paige, Thomas, Leah, Benjamin and Sarah; his step mother, Marie Parcher Smith of Marble Rock; two brothers, Earl (Janice) Parcher and Dale (Pat) Parcher both of Marble Rock; a sister, Betty Jo (Russell) Staudt of Charles City; a brother-in-law, Gerald “Hersh” Hershey; a step brother, Raymond (Karen) Smith of Greene; and a step sister, Linda Brandau of Charles City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Maxine Hershey.

MARBLE ROCK — Jerry Parcher, 59, of Marble Rock, died Friday (Feb. 18, 2005) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

A memorial Mass for Jerry Parcher will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Roseville. Monsignor Walter Brunkan, pastor, will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be at a later date.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday where there will be a vigil scriptural wake service at 7 p.m. followed by the reciting of the Rosary.
