Nancy J. Hedrick, 57, of Charles City, died Tuesday, February, 27, 2007, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City.

Burial will be in Sunnyside Memorial Gardens rural Charles City.

Nancy Jean (Kilby) Hedrick was born December 3, 1949, the daughter of Raymond and Vivian (Darling) Kilby, at New Hampton. She graduated from the Charles City High School.

In 1968 she was united in marriage to James Bahlmann. Children, Carrie, Troy and Melissa were born of that union. James died on October, 12, 1989.

Nancy married Gary McKenzie on July 31, 1981. Gary died October 10, 1988. On August 29, 2001 she was united in marriage to Gary Hedrick in Charles City. Nancy was employed at the Floyd County Assessor’s Office for over 24 years. Her interests included, fishing; camping; gardening; going to garage sales; ceramics; crocheting; playing cards, Yatzee and computer games. Nancy especially loved her dog, Blue; and her family.

Living family members include her husband, Gary Hedrick; three children, Carrie Bahlmann of Charles City, Troy (Robyn) Bahlmann of Charles City, and Melissa (Ken) Weeks of Toledo; three step-children, Brad (Angel) McKenzie of Charles City, Brenda (Brad) Bartz of Vinton, and Derek Hedrick of Charles City; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Linda (Dewayne) Shrader of Charles City; two brothers, Duane (Linda) Kilby, and Kenneth (Mariel) Kilby all of Charles City; a sister-in-law, Pat Kilby of Nashua; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one sister, Bernadine Beasley; and two brothers, Ronald and Dick Kilby.
