Charles City, IowaNovak Milich, 81, of Warren, Michigan, died May 7, 2004, at Warren, Michigan due to complications from Alzheimers disease.
Graveside services for Novak Milich will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Riverside Cemetery, Charles City. The Rev. Paul Wilcox, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Mr. Novak worked for Ford Motor Company in Sterling Heights, Michigan for 42 years. He was a member of UAW Local #228. He was well known for his involvement at church as well as his green thumb. During World War II, he fought with the “Chetniks” under the command of General Draza Mihajolivic against the Nazis and Yugoslavian communists. He was wounded and captured by the Nazis.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy; three children – Danilo (Nevena), Nada (Bruce) Northey, and Danica (Terri).
The Hauser Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
