Mary Crawford, 83 of Charles City, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at her son's home.

Monsignor Stanley Hayek, of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Mirian Cemetery at Bethany, Missouri.

Mary Libby Elizabeth King Crawford was born May 7, 1925, at Bethany, Missouri, the daughter of Earl and Maudie (Reynolds) King. She received her education at Bethany.

On January 1, 1942, she was united in marriage to Ivan Lucky Crawford at Bethany, Mo. They lived in Des Moines for many years moving to Charles City in 1986. Lucky died on July 30, 1986.

Mary will always be remembered for her love of family and desire to share her life with them.

Living family members include two children, Connell (Herb) Murphy of Conover, N.C., and Dan (Ellen) Crawford of Charles City; seven grandchildren, Scott (Marsha) Murphy, Trevor (Paula) Crawford, Tracey (Galen) Streich, Steven (Lisa) Murphy, Toby (Jennifer) Crawford, Shannon (Eric) Hefner and Trisha (Brad) Hemesath; and eighteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a great granddaughter, Alexandra Crawford; three brothers, Robert, Willis and Jimmy King; and three sisters, Earlene King, Virginia Hohn and Janet King.
