Charles City, IA 50616Beverly A. Braught, age 70, of Charles City, Floyd county, Iowa, died Saturday, March 17, 2007, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City.
Pastors David Werges and Dennis Niezwaag will officiate. Burial will be held in Sunset Rest Cemetery in Northwood.
Beverly Anne Braught was born September 30, 1936, the daughter of Loren and Dorothy (Thoen) Braught at Des Moines. Her early childhood was spent in Northwood. She enjoyed working at the Treasure Chest, Comp Systems Building 3, and competing in the Special Olympics.
Beverly was a member of Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church. Her interests included, going to the Treasure Chest; shopping; sewing on plastic canvas; watching Lawrence Welk; and spending time with her family.
Living family members include a sister, Pat (Dennis) Petersen of Charles City; two brothers, Mark Davey of Zimmerman, Minn., and Mike (Mary) Davey of Northwood; several nieces and nephews and cousins including, special cousin, Linda Thoen of Clear Lake; nieces, Julie Baldwin and her children, Kaytie, Zac and Madeline; Kathie Baldwin and her son Alex; Melissa Davey of Cambridge, Mass.; Callie Davey and Cassidy Davey of Zimmerman, Minn.; and her family at the 9th Street Group Home and special friends at Comp Systems.
She was preceded in death by her father, Loren in 1937; her mother and step-father, Dorothy and Ike Davey; two brothers, Jim and Thomas Davey.
