Anna Mildred Knapp, age 88, formerly of Charles City, Floyd county, Iowa, and now of Desert Hot Springs, California, passed away on Monday November 3, 2008, at Eisenhower Memorial Hospital in Rancho Mirage, California.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Trinity Methodist Church in Charles City with Pastor Dennis Johnson and Pastor Gary Van Wert officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery at Nashua, Chickasaw county, Iowa.

Anna Mildred Knapp was born March 20, 1920, in Minnesota the daughter of Charles and Olga (Will) Conner.

She married Troy L. Knapp in Charles City, Iowa on January 12, 1948. She worked with Troy on the family farm north of Nashua until retiring in 1997. Anna was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City.

Anna is survived by her son, Lonnie (Nancy) Knapp of Desert Hot Springs, California; by her daughter, Shirley (Joel) Rasmussen of Clear Lake, Iowa, and by four grandchildren: Jamie and Dusty Knapp, and Adam and Alicia Rasmussen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, on December 30, 2002; by a grandson, Eric Knapp; and by her parents.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Nashua, Iowa.
