Charles City, IowaClarence Becker, 83, of Clear Lake, Iowa, formerly of Mason City and Charles City, died on Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City.
Clarence Willard Ted Becker was born January 23, 1923, at Charles City, the son of Walter and Meta (Rieken) Becker. He received his education from Floyd County country schools.
Clarence married Eileen Grap who died on July 21, 1975 and Delores Feidler who died on January 16, 1983. He then married Mary Mejia and they later divorced. Clarence farmed all of his life in the Charles City area. After retiring he worked in maintenance at the YMCA.
He was a member of Cross Lutheran Church until he transferred his membership to Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church. Other memberships included the Moose and Farm Bureau. He also served as a 4-H leader for several years. Clarence enjoyed the outdoors, including fishing and hunting, and also looked forward to dancing.
Living family members include three sons; Duane (Rose) Becker of Casselberry, Florida, Donald (Toni) Becker of Park Rapids, Minn., and Darwin (Becky) Becker of Charles City; eight grandchildren; a step grandson; three great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; a brother, Albert "Shorty" (Catherine) Becker of Gardner, N.Y.; two sisters, Elsie Hoeft and Irene Rosenberg both of Charles City; and a special friend, Leann Castillo of Britt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives;a brother, Harry Becker; and a sister, Esther Becker.
