Charles City, IA 50616Naomi R. Auchstetter, age 84, of Charles City, Floyd county, Iowa, died on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, at the Nora Springs Care Center, in Nora Springs.
Naomi Ruth Kegley Auchstetter was born May 3, 1922, the daughter of Alva and Laura (Smith) Kegley at Ionia. She graduated from Ionia High School in 1939. On November 9, 1946 she was united in marriage to Joseph Auchstetter at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Naomi was a member of Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church, and a member of WELCA. Her interests included sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening, canning, playing cards especially 500, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Living family members include three sons, Wayne (Marva) Auchstetter of Nashua, David (Barbara) Auchstetter of Nashua, Douglas (Pam) Auchstetter of Rockford; a daughter Karen (Steve) Nixt of Granger; eight grandchildren; and 10 great grand children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son Micheal; two grandchildren, Heather Auschstetter and Nicole Walker; two sisters; and one brother.
