Scothom, I. W., farmer, Section 22 (Oran township); PO Oelwein; was born in Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania, in 1848; located in Delaware Co., Iowa, in 1874; and in this county in 1876. He married Miss Charity Shippley September 21, 1868; she was born in Jackson Co., Ohio, in 1851; have five children --- Ello F., born April 7, 1869; John, born Jan. 14, 1872; Mary A., born Jan. 21, 1874; James W., born Oct. 11, 1876; Robert, born Sept. 8, 1877. Republican; he has been School Director one term. He owns eighty acres of land worth $30 per acre. His father, John Scothom, resides with him on his farm.

This biography is no doubt your Isaac .... Not long after 1880 this family moved on to Sac County, Iowa.
