In Response To: Capt. J. J. Berkey (Robert Parmely)

Have posted a biography of J. J. Berkey from the "1878 History of Fayette County, Iowa" in the biography section of this page. Also found references to a Lewis Berkey and wife also of West Union who appear to be either generation older or of same generation as J. J. Berkey. A "J. E. Berkey" was among signers requesting rebuilding of Court House in 1873.
