Michael Kohlmeyer, Sr.

I'm trying to find out more about Michael Kohlmeyer, Sr., an ancestor of mine. He lived in Wisconsin for many years before coming to Iowa with his son, Michael Jr. I have all his vital information already, but know nothing about his wife. What was her maiden name? She is listed as Phoebe in the 1870 census, and as Phillippina in the 1880 census. But is than an error? Did Phoebe die and he remarried? Any information at all would be helpful.
