Donald Joseph Mangan

Funeral services were held for Donald Joseph Mangan, 55, of Clear Lake, Friday, May 8, 1992, at St. Patrick's Church, Clear Lake. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery, New Hampton.

Donald Joseph Mangan was born December 5, 1936, in New Hampton, the son of Violette (Ralph) and Vincent Mangan. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Joseph's Church, New Hampton, graduated from the New Hampton High School. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1955 to 1959 aboard the U.S.S. Eastwind and landed at both north and south poles. He was a graduate and instructor in cosmetology and manager of Supper Club Pier 18 in Mason City. Donald Joseph Mangan died Sunday, May 3, 1992, at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines.

Survivors include his mother Violette Mangan, New Hampton; two brothers, Jim Mangan of Sumner and Bob Mangan, Elkader; and two sisters, Mary Cericola and Tresa Nelson, both of Pittsburgh, Penn.

His father Vincent preceded him in death.
