Mrs. EMMET F. (Esther L. Thompson) DREIER
Esther L. Dreier, 96, of Waukon, formerly of Postville, died Friday, January 2 at the Veteran's Memorial Hospital in Waukon of natural causes. She was born April 2, 1907 in Clermont, daughter of John Henry and Marguerite Ellen Wells Thompson. She married Emmet F. Dreier August 25, 1930 in Castalia. He died June 3. 1986. Mrs. Dreier and her husband farmed in the Postville/Castalia area for 38 years.
Survivors include three sons, Curtis Dreier of Pipestone, MN, Dennis Dreier of Clermont, and Neil Dreier of Durand, IL; two daughters, Wanda Pape of Cedar Falls, and Nadine Koester of Waukon; one brother, Frederick Thompson of Waterloo; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Richard and Duane Thompson; and three sisters, Bessie Odekirk, Mildred Muchow, and Anna Fitz.
Memorial services and inurnment will take place at a later date.
