Maxine Elaine Bigelow Dempster, oldest daughter of Fred and Nellie Bigelow, was born July 1, 1921, at Arlington and died June 27, 1963, at the University of Minnesota Hospital. She leaves her husband, David, one daughter, Mrs. Sharon Sprague, one granddaughter, and her father, Fred Bigelow and step mother, Flossie Bigelow, two sisters, Mrs. LaVerle Hulbert and Mrs. Virginia Miller; two nieces and one nephew, all of Arlington.
Her mother, Nellie Harkin Bigelow, preceded her in death six years ago.
Maxine attended school at Arlington. She was united in marriage to David Dempster, Jr., Feb 14, 1940. She had been in poor health for about 10 years and in the hospital several times with heart trouble. Her condition gradually grew worse and she decided to have surgery. Maxine entered the hospital May 28. She seemed to be getting along well until Wednesday, June 26, when the relatives were called. She died Thursday night at 8:30.
Funeral services were held on Monday at 2:00 p.m., at the Church of Christ with Rev. Hauter, Oelwein, in charge of services.
Mrs. Florian Burchett accompanied Mrs. Leslie Seedorff and Mrs. Paul Hunt, Oelwein, who sang.
Casket bearers were Robert Longmire, William Bachtell, Wendell Myers, Robert Hutchison, Kermit Glass and George Gusta.
Interment was made at Taylorsville Cemetery. Gleim's Funeral Home was in charge.

Obituary:
Death of Mrs. David Dempster
Mrs. David Dempster, Jr., who submitted to heart surgery a few weeks ago at Minneapolis, died Thursday night in the University Hospital there.
Funeral services were held Monday, 2:00 p.m, at the Church of Christ. Interment was made at Taylorsville.
