Funeral services for Nellie A. Gordon, age 61, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Fayette County, Iowa were held on April 25, 2012 at the Leonard Muller Funeral Home in Manchester, Iowa. Nellie A. Gordon passed away at the Iowa City Rehab and Health Center in Iowa City, Iowa on Saturday, April 21, 2012.

Nellie A. Gordon was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on May 27, 1950, the daughter of Elmer and Viola (Collar) Hauschild, Sr. Nellie was raised and educated in Delaware County and graduated from the West Delaware High School in 1968. She married John Forest Gordon. They lived in Fayette County. Nellie was currently working at Century Cab in Cedar Rapids before she became ill. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery work, and fishing.

Nellie A. Gordon is survived by her three sons: David Gordon (special friend, Brandi Hurd) of West Union, Iowa, Elmer (Rose) Gordon of What Cheer, Iowa, and John Gordon of Fredricksburg, Iowa; two daughters Caroline (Jim) Padilla of Manchester, Iowa and Grace Thomas of Arkansas; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three brothers Eugene (Edna) Hauschild, Carl (Joyce) Hauschild, and Lyle Hauschild, all of Manchester.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Gordon in 1995; one son Billy Gordon; one brother Elmer Hauschild, Jr., and a son-in-law David Thomas.
