~ OBITUARIES ~

WILLARD ASH SERVICES HELD

Funeral services for-Willard Ash were held at United Methodist Church. West Union, on Monday. Aug. 3, at 2 p.m. Dr. Herbert Foxworthy was officiant and pallbearers were Lee Barness, Tom Homewood, Karl Klemp, Barbara Barness, Gordon Ruroden and Walter Ash. Interment was in the West Union Cemetery.

Burnham-Wood Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Willard LaVern Ash, son of Vern and Florence Luce Ash, was born May 14, 1912, in Fayette. He received his education at the Fayette and Oelwein schools.

On March 27. 1939. he was united in marriage to Zenita Holtzman at Decorah and to this union was born one daughter. Willard farmed and also owned his own trucking service.

He was a member of United Methodist Church, West-Union. His death occurred July 31 at the Elkader Care Center at the age of 75 years, two months and 17 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Ronald.

He is survived by his wife, Zenita: daughter, Shirley. Mrs. Lloyd Barness. West Union; two grandchildren. Lee, West Union, and Barbara, Minneapolis; two great grandchildren, Ryan and Katie Barness, and one brother, Robert, El Cajon, CA.
