AMERICUS OLDS STRICKEN ILL SUDDENLY; DIES

Americus Vespucci Olds of 875 Kane Street, was stricken ill Tuesday morning while preparing to begin his daily work and died at 6:30 o'clock.

Mr. Olds was born in Williams County, Ohio, January 10, 1855, and moved to Clermont, Iowa, with his parents, when a child. Thirty-three years ago he came to Dubuque and had lived here ever since. He conducted a garden truck farm for the last 16 years.

Surviving him are his widow, Elizabeth, three daughters, Mrs. Chester Wilson of Washington Springs, South Dakota, Mrs. Chester Ruff and Mrs. George Zillig of Dubuque, five sons, Marcus, Perry, Frank, Willis and Theodore of Dubuque, one sister Mrs. Cora Wilson of Los Angeles, California, two brothers, Al G. Olds of Los Angeles and Frank Olds of Minneapolis, and seven grandchildren.

The funeral services will be held at the family home and burial will be in Linwood cemetery. The time and place will be announced later.
