OBITUARIES.
Hannah Baker.

Hannah Carmichael was born in Carmichael town, Green county, Penn., October 11, 1818, and lived to be 81 years 8 months and 19 days old. She died Jan. 30, 1900. She spent her childhood and early girlhood at and near her birthplace, removing to Indiana about 1838 where she spent the next twelve years of her life with her mother, brothers and sister. She came to Fayette county, Iowa, in April 1853. She lived with her sister and brother, now Mr. and Mrs. John McMillan, until her marriage to Robert L. Baker with whom she lived until his death, about two years. Since then she has made her home with Mr. and Mrs. John McMillan of this place. Although afflicted as she was during her whole life yet she bore it bravely and always had a cheerful and pleasant word for all. We believe with her, and fondly hope that over on the other shore there will be a crown for her to wear.

Simply trusting every day; trusting though a stormy way; even when my faith is small, trusting Jesus that is all.

CARD OF THANKS.
Mr. and Mrs. John McMillan and children wish to sincerely thank their friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted during the last sickness and death of their sister and aunt Hannah Baker. May God bless you.
John McMillan and Family.
