Elgin Echo, Thursday, August 6, 1903. From the West Union Argo.

Yesterday afternoon, just as that windstorm came up, Mrs. Leigh Wade, at their home in the northern part of this city, attempted to awake aged Oliver Wade, who was apparently asleep in his accustomed chair with a newspaper in is lap. He was sitting with his head down on his breast, and after several attempts to awaken him the young woman was shocked to discover that he was dead. He was in good health and spirits at noon taking dinner and chatting in his usual manner at the table. Mr. Wade was over 80 years of age. – West Union Argo.
