Elgin Echo, Thursday, 25 June 1903.

Word was received last Thursday by Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dickinson, informing them of the death of their oldest son, W. J. Dickinson, which occurred at Seattle, Wash., on that date. Little of the full particulars have been given but it is stated that consumption was the cause of death.

W. J. Dickinson was born at Cleveland, Ohio, May 14, 1853, and died at Seattle, Wash., June 18, 1903, and was therefore at the time of death, about 50 years old. He came to Elgin with his parents some 15 years ago. He disposed of his property and moved to Nebraska where he remained until two years ago, when the encroachment of the disease, which finally terminated in death, compelled him to relinquish his holdings in that state and go to Wash., but to no purpose, as death came as above stated. Mr. Dickinson has friends here who will be pained to learn of his demise.
