Elgin Echo, Thursday, 9 April 1903.

Mrs. Catherine McClintock, who was injured in the Arlington Hotel fire at West Union on Sunday morning, March 22, died at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Brewer, last Saturday morning. While trying to escape from the building the lady had both ankles crushed.
