Elgin Echo, Thursday, 16 April 1903.

Albert Scheel, a young farmer who resided four miles northwest of Clermont, departed this life on the 8th inst. after a short illness. He was a respected and upright citizen, loved and honored by all who knew him. His is a sad case and his death is much to be deplored. Mr. Scheel was 32 years old at the time of his demise and had been married a little less than a year and leaves a young wife and many friends to mourn their loss.
