Elgin Echo, Thursday, 29 October 1908.

We notice in a dispatch dated the 22nd, and sent out from Dallas, South Dakota, that Mrs. Louise Habeger, aged 54, had killed herself with a shotgun on her Rosebud farm. When Gregory County, in that state, was opened her husband drew a farm and the couple settled thereon. They were very lonely and were thus made despondent. Two years after taking up his new career on the Dakota farm Habeger committed suicide with a shotgun as his widow did last week. The unfortunate couple are known to many of our people and have relatives here.
