Elgin Echo, Thursday, 15 October 1908.

Frank DeSart received a message Tuesday from C. E. Rubert, of Forestburg, South Dakota, telling of the death of his father, J. E. Rubert. The remains will be brought to Clermont for burial Friday. Deceased was a former resident of this vicinity and has many old time friends here who will regret to learn of his death.
