Elgin Echo, Thursday, 4 June 1908.

L. L. Farr, for many years a resident of West Union, and at one time Sheriff of Fayette County, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. G. McMasters, of Cedar Rapids, Monday of this week. The remains were brought to West Union, where internment was made Wednesday. Apoplexy was the cause of death.
