Elgin Echo, Thursday, 4 June 1908.

Maurice Cavanaugh, one of Clermont's oldest citizens passed away last week. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. M. J. Farrelly. Deceased was born in 1855 on the farm where he died and had been a continuous resident of Clermont Township for 53 years.
