The sudden and unexpected death of Mrs. T. Rubyor, which occurred at her home north of West Union early Saturday morning, the 12th inst., was a shock to the many relatives and friends of the esteemed lady, as her sickness dated only from Wednesday and was not thought to be of a serious nature.
Mrs. Rubyor was born in Connecticut in 1839 and removed to Vermont in childhood, where she remained until she was married and came to Iowa in 1863. During the 35 years she has lived in Fayette County she has been the inspiring, faithful helpmate of her husband in all his undertakings. She was the mother of nine children, seven of whom are living. She had two brothers and four sisters, all of whom are living, four at West union and two at Volga city.
The funeral was held at the country home Monday afternoon, Rev. Gammons officiating, and the remains were followed to their final resting place in West Union cemetery by many sympathizing friends. The bereaved husband and children have the sincere sympathy of the entire community. – Union.
