Elmer Anderson, a brother-in-law of J. H. Smith of Elgin, passed away at his home west of Clermont Wednesday of last week. He had been ill less than four days. The funeral was held from the Methodist church in West Union at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Although he had been in poor health for some time his ailment was not thought serious until the Sunday before his death. Septic pneumonia and blood poisoning were the immediate cause of his death. He was 45 years of age and leaves a wife and five young children, many relatives and friends to mourn his untimely death.
