Mrs. Jake Yearous passed from this life at her home in Illyria Wednesday, April 4th, and the funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the Illyria church, where a large number of relatives and friends gathered to pay a last sad tribute of respect to one they had known and loved in this life.

Mrs. Yearous was the daughter of Edward and Martha Voshell, her mother having preceded her in death. She was 22 years, 10 months and 24 days old at the time of her death.

Her death is an extremely sad one as she leaves a husband and two children. One of the little ones is about three years old while the girl baby was not a week old. It had been named Gladys Mae by the mother before death took her.
