Wm. Smith, of Hawkeye, and one of the old settlers of the county, died Saturday at the home of his brother, J. B. Smith, in North Branch, Kansas, where he had gone for a visit. The remains were brought to his home at Hawkeye and the funeral services were held Tuesday.
