Miss Rose Bauder died Christmas morning at three o'clock and was brought to Elgin for burial.

She was born in Canton Berne, Switzerland, in 1857 and came to America with her parents when about eight years old and has lived in Elgin and vicinity all her life time. Funeral services were held at the German Baptist church today at one o'clock, Rev. Stoeckmann preaching the sermon. She was laid to rest in the Elgin cemetery.

Six brothers and sisters are left to cherish the memory of a sister. The brothers are Gottfried of Highland, Fred Bauder, of Ft Collins, Col., and Gottlieb, of Remsen. The sisters are Mrs. Henry Hess, of Niobrara, Neb., Mrs. Joe Harmon of New Martinsville, West Va., and Mrs. Ben Schori.
