After months of intense and patient suffering, Mrs. Lucas Olson, passed away at her home southeast of town, Saturday, August 17, 1912. During her illness medical skill did all that was possible and loving hearts and willing hands did all that the mind suggested for her recovery and comfort, but the disease had taken a firm hold upon her and she sank gradually to that last long sleep.

Emma Caroline Reinhart was born in Grand Meadow township, Clayton county, November 13, 1892, and passed away August 17, 1912, and at the time of her death was almost twenty years of age. On September 22, 1910, she was united in marriage to Lucas Olson, and to this union one son was born, and the husband and son, together with relatives and friends are left to mourn the death of this loved wife and mother. Funeral services were from the Clermont Norwegian church Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Bursett, the pastor, officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery there.

Thus another home has been broken and hearts bowed down with grief. A young wife and mother has been called and although she has passed from this earth, her memory will be cherished by those she loved and was loved by in return.
