Elgin Echo, Thursday, 11 October 1906.

Saturday of last week occurred the death of Charles, the two months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Cooley. The little one had never been strong and died of dropsy. Appropriate services conducted by Rev. Stoeckman were held at the home on main street Sunday afternoon and loving hands laid the little form to rest in Elgin cemetery. The young couple have the sympathy of the community in their sad bereavement.
