Elgin Echo, Thursday, 18 October 1906.
W. A. Wickham, one of the oldest Masons in this part of the state, died at his home in Clermont Saturday and was buried Monday with Masonic honors. Deceased was widely and favorably known and until a year ago had been connected with the Larrabee Private Bank of that city. For the last year his health had not been good and his last illness, inflammation of the bowels, dated only a few days previous to his death. He was a man well along in the seventies and as he closed his eyes in that last long sleep he finished a life work which had been well done. Those from the Silver Leaf Lodge, A.F. & A.M. of this city who attended were: Dr. Hadsel, Jos. Butler, C. T. Schmid, Aug. Benson, John Falb, F. Hughes, Aug. Holzer, Fred Kohler, N. Schorl, Sam Mosby, Peter MacKeller, Elmer Davis, R. W. Helms, John Brackin, W. H. Vinton and W. A. Conner.
