Elgin Echo, Thursday, 04 October 1906.

George Gilson, of West Union, died at his home there Sat. after a short illness. The funeral was held Tuesday. For many years he was a well known and respected citizen of Illyria and it is with deep regret that his many friends learn of his demise.
