OBITUARY
Elmer Oscar Grant was born in Fayette, Iowa on August 29,1880 and died on August 12,1941, at the Wesley hospital in Wadena of pneumonia at the age of 60 years, 11 months and 13 days.
He was a devoted husband and father, always thoughtful of his family and friends and always ready to lend a helping hand to his neighbors in time of need. He came to Otter Tail county, Minnesota at the age of three months, coming here in a covered wagon. In the spring of 1881 they moved to what is known as the old John Grant homestead.
On October 22,1901 he was married to Miss Freda Heuer at Sebeka and to them nine children were born, two preceeding him in death. Those surviving him are his beloved wife and seven children, namely: Mrs. Robt. (Grace) Fullerton and Wayne Grant, both of Wadena; Mrs. David (Pearl) Hemphill and Mrs. Alvin (Violet) Hemphill, of Sebeka; Stanley, Vernon and Elsie, at the home. Seven grandchildren and one brother, Charles, of Washington, and one sister, Mrs. Archie (Nellie) Keller of Avery, Idaho, and a host of other relatives and friends survive.
He is sadly missed by relatives and friends alike.
