Final Rites For Iva Marie Brandenburg

Funeral services for Iva Brandenburg were held Friday, Feb. 24, 1984 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville. The Rev. Julius L. Peterson officiated. The Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Iva Marie Brandenburg, daughter of Ora and Emma (Voshell) Crawford, was born December 13, 1918 in Fayette County. She died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 1984 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon.

She graduated from the Wadena High School in 1937. On Feb. 21, 1940 she married Clifford Lamphiear. A son was born to this union. Clifford died June 28, 1944.

On Aug. 8, 1950 Iva was married to Arno Brandenburg. To this union 2 daughters were born.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church since 1955.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Clifford Lamphiear; her second husband Arno Brandenburg, who died June 2, 1977; 2 brothers, George and Ralph; and a sister, Bertha.

Surviving are a son, Larry Lamphiear of Elgin; 2 daughters, Patricia (Mrs. Robert O. Penrod) of Postville and Marlene (Mrs. Rick Kirkeberg) of Monona; 6 grandchildren; a brother, Robert Crawford of Fayette; and 2 sisters, Belma Crawford, West Union and Nellie (Mrs. Walter Adams) of Volga.
