Funeral services for Andrew Braker were conducted Tuesday, November 9, 1976, at 10:30 at the Apostolic Christian Church with graveside services at the Apostolic Cemetery by local ministers. Pallbearers were William Moore, Dwayne and James Frieden, and Larry, John and Ben Butikofer. Muehlethaler-Wright Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Andrew Braker, son of Andrew and Louisa (Lederman) Braker was born on May 5, 1900 at the farm home where he lived for 72 years. Due to ill health he retired and moved to Elgin on August 9, 1972 and passed away on November 6, 1976 at 12 o'clock noon at his home due to a heart attack. He received his education in a rural school close to his farm home.

On September 5, 1956 he was united in marriage to Florence Thoman, who preceded him in death on April 22, 1970.

Besides his many friends he is survived by 2 sisters, Esther and Julia (Mrs. John Grimm) and 9 nieces and 2 nephews.
